Amy Schneider Talks with Women of Faith®

The Women of Faith® blog tells the Eyes of Faith story through an interview with co-founders Amy & Jim Schneider:

“God, I don’t know how you can use me. The only thing I know how to do well is I know how to love people unconditionally and I’m really good at fitting people with glasses.” When she prayed that prayer, optician Amy Schneider was on medical leave, just trying to get her body “back in working order.” What she didn’t know was her insurance-agent husband was also praying . . . something she only learned when Jim woke her out of a deep sleep to exclaim “Amy, I’ve got an amazing idea to start an eyewear company that honors God!” Read the story and see more photos from Women of Faith's Believe God Can Do Anything 2013 Tour >

A Vision Expo West Story

I woke up my wife, Amy, from a very deep sleep on a Sunday morning September 28th, 2008.

“I have an idea to start an eyewear company that honors God.”

Amy rolled over and said, “You’re crazy, go back to bed.”

I convinced her that I wasn’t that crazy and she warmed up to the idea that day. As it turned out, Vision Expo West was happening that same week. “If we are thinking of starting an eyewear company,” she said, “we need to go to Vision Expo.”
